Birthday Card.....

Today is my nephew Deacons 2nd birthday party. I had already bought his present the other day, but forgot to pick up a card. I know what am I thinking why would I buy a card when I can make one.

Well my reasoning was he'll be 2 he won't care about the card. But in the end I decided to head over to PC Crafter and look at the birthday clip art and see what they had. Well I found this adorable bear. Isn't he cute? The package is called Doodle Heart - Birthday Bears. The kit comes with a bunch of super cute images.

The whole card took me about 10 minutes to make. Ok only because I made 4. 1 for the birthday boy and 3 for the basket. Digital images are just so quick and easy why only cut out everything for one card when you can whip up 4 or more in a few minutes. :)

I even made an insert for the inside with a different image. I can see more digital image cards in my future. I discovered PC Crafter over at Cheryl's blog God and I on the Railroadtracks. She has some super cute cards. So if you have time stop over and say hi.

And beware if you decide to check out PC Crafter's website. Digital stuff can be just as addicting as all the other stamping stuff we already collect.... I know I already have a dozen digital kits. :)

Well I'm off to the party... Hope your all having a great weekend!!

Whiff of Joy 10....

It's week 10 over at the Whiff of Joy Challenge blog.

This week's challenge is "Any Thing But A Card". It was suppose to be a bookmark, but to make it a broader subject it was changed to this. But I'd already made my bookmark. You can't see it in my picture but I added sparkle to my flowers and the letters. The image lifts up and over the page. It turned out pretty cute. So head over and check it out!!
But I don't know If I'll need it after my husband gets me a Kindle for Christmas...(hubby-hint! hint!) I'm going to have to start a new book so I can use it. I just got finished reading Marley and Me... Super cute book, but sad. My dog Apollo couldn't figure out why I was crying.. Poor guy!!

Scrapmagasinet Reader Challenge 5......

It's time for another Reader Challenge over at the Scrapmagasinet DT Blog.

And another chance to win some Scrapmagasinet stamps of your choice!!!

This months challenge is to decorate a container.

Well silly me I forgot about it until Wenche reminded me yesterday morning with her email picture of her creation. (thank you Wenche!) So I had to make this up last night after work.

Well lucky me I happen to come across this tutorial over at the With Love From Holland Blog.
So I rushed home, ate dinner and whipped this cute little box up in no time. I thought it would be perfect for some little candies or maybe some small cards?
I love this Santa stamp (Nissen i pipa). It makes me smile. Looks like the kind of days I have. Poor Santa I hope he gets out in time to finish his work...

Scrapmagasinet DT Card.....

There's a new Krilla available at the store. Isn't she cute?
Krilla is the first Scrapmagasinet stamp I saw. I fell in love with her from the beginning. I couldn't wait to get a hold of Lisbet the owner of the Scrapmagasinet store and find out how I could get some of my very own.
I love how she looks like me - full figured, so I think she's beautiful. I eagerly look forward to every new one. I'm in Christmas card making mod. I've managed to make all my Tilda & Friends Christmas card exchange cards already. I've made more Christmas cards lately then I thought. When I went through my basket I had a bunch. April the owner of my local Scrapbook store has let me leave a basket of cards at the store. I found I had quite a pile up and didn't know what to do with them. Well I was sharing this with April and she kindly is letting me sell them at the store. Thank you April!!!
I love how this one turned out. The Christmas paper from My Minds Eye is so cute. Who couldn't love it. And I found a bigger snowflake die from Sizzix so I could nest two together. I like how that looks. And the cute tag is a new CTHM stamp set I just bought called Christmas Melodies D1324 . There are 11 tags and 3 musical notes in this set. Really cute!!
Well hopefully I'm working myself out of the crafting slump I've found myself in here lately. I just can't seem to get motivated. I've spent a bunch of time watching T.V. and coloring images. I just can't seem to make anything. I'm not getting any reading done either. I need more time in my day's.

Here's the other two cards from the scrap basket.
Both of these little Magnolia stamps are too cute!!! The Christmas line is super too, but I was good and didn't get any. I figured I didn't need that many Christmas stamps. I already have a bunch to use this year already.

Well off to work. Hope your having a great day!!

Computer Trouble....

Well this weekend I finally had it with the computer acting up. Freezing up while I'm blog hoping really pisses me off!!! So I had to have my IT guy (hubby) take a look at it. Did I mention I Love him!!! He spent half the day taking crap off that didn't need to be on there running and deleting junk. He also got on line after all that and ordered me 4GB of RAM that should be here later this week.... I should be able to do all kinds of things now with all that memory!!!
Well while he was working on that in my room I couldn't get online so I got to looking at my scrap basket. That's what I throw all my scrap paper in after I've made a card. It was a mess so I decided to clean it out. That ment cutting it all into 6x6 or 4.25 x 5.5 pieces. Then throwing most of the rest away. Man was there a lot in there I ended up with a huge stack of cut squares. I didn't know the basket could hold that much.
These are two of the cards I made using scraps only. After spending hours cleaning it all up I decided maybe I better use some of it up. Worked out perfect since I still hadn't made my 4 raining cards for my Magnolia-lious group. So you'll get to see two more tomorrow.
I also spent some time water coloring with my new Peerless paper that I got from My Favorite Things. Wow is that awesome stuff. Water color on a piece of paper. Cool!!
Well I'm off to work.... Hope you are all having a great day!!!

Kit Two...

Check out that cool Santa image.. He's just one of many cool vintage images in the Christmas Vintage Kit. I really like the Merry Christmas saying with the cool border.
When Claire sent me the kits from Making Hade Made Cards she only wanted me to use the kits except I could add ribbon, glitter, brads and stuff like that. So the image, paper & saying came from the kit. Pretty cool!
I must admit it was hard not having anything to color, but once I got started it was ok. And it was nice having everything in the kit to put together the card. I didn't have to search though my stash for just the right colors. It was all right there.

Digital Images....

Digital Images... Have you ever tried them? I've used digital paper before and I have a couple of Digital images that I have never used. They are kind of neat. A couple of days ago I received an email from Claire over at Making Hand Made Cards about trying her new digital kits to make a couple of cards for her new store. Well I said sure why not.

The images are from the Christmas Doodles Kit and the paper is the Christmas Funky Kit. There are a bunch more cute images in the Christmas Doodle Kit these are just the ones I picked out.

The angels have two other sizes on the paper you print out. This was the medium size. I didn't make them any other size then what printed. I
then paper pieced the outfits and added glitter to
the wings and halo's.

I got the idea for these card's from Debby's blog A Scrapjourney . Thanks Debby your cards are awesome!
So if you have a chance click on the Making Hand Made Cards link above and sign up for Claire's newsletter. It has a bunch of freebies. She'll be opening her store up very soon so make sure to bookmark her site for the future.
Hope you'll come back tomorrow for another card made with a different kit from Claire.

Hey There Freezy....

I purchased some new punches this last week while we where out of town and thought I'd give them a try. They have so many super cute punches out there. Martha Stewart has quite a few cute ones I've added to my wish list. I pretty much stuck with the Christmas theme for my purchases though.

The snowflake embossing border punch is cute. You can't see it very good here but it embosses little snowflakes in between the little stars. And snowflake punch so many sizes and different kinds...:) I think I'll try some glitter next time. Many run it through the sticker maker and dump the glitter on after?

You can purchase the stamps I've used here over at the Scrapmagasinet online store. This snowman is totally cute. He goes great with the saying...
My new DT package is on the way too. I can hardly wait!!! The new Krilla stamp is super cute!! So you can bet she'll be my first to ink up.
Hope your all having a great day!!!

Whiff of Joy Challenge #7....

It's time for another challenge over at the Whiff of Joy Challenge Blog.

This weeks challenge is a sketch by me. I hope you hop on over and give it a try. You have a chance to win a fabulous Whiff of Joy stamp this week.

The DT have created some really awesome cards. So make sure and say hi to them also. We also have our Guest DT Shary this week also. Her card is super cute!!

Sorry I've been absent the last few days. I had last week off from work and decided to take a little break and get some other thing taken care of and just relax a little bit. You know stay up late watching TV and sleeping in how ever long I felt like. And just going for a drive with my hubby to any where.
The poor guy is so awesome I drag him in the car to all these Scrapbook - Stamp stores all the time and he just holds my bags. He's a keeper!!!
He even pointed out a Sony EBook he seen at Target while we were there browsing. Not even thinking that I might want to leave with it. ($300) Luck for him they had no information on it there at the store so we left without it. But when I got home I emailed my blog friend Lori who I knew had an EBook to find out the scoop. So I have now added an Amazon Kindle to my I want for Christmas List. So if you happen to see a special on this.. Please think of me and let me know. Because I plan on getting one...:)
Well anyways sorry for rambling... Hope your having a great day!!!
