Tilda as Shepard...

Hey Everyone. Happy Monday. I've seen this cute Magnolia image around a lot and couldn't resist getting one for myself. Isn't she just adorable. This is for my water coloring class I have coming up on the 19th. I have colored it with Ranger Distressing Inks and Pearl Ex. I love how the Pearl Ex adds just a little bit of sparkle.

I added some Crafty Fluff to the sheep to give him some fluff. Love that stuff. I've had the same jar for 2 years and it hardly has any missing. You can use it on everything and it lasts forever practically. I was hopping you could see the sparkle on her dress if I got a close up.

I love all the new Spring colors. I'm ready for the sun to come back out and it to get warmer. All this cold weather is terrible.

Hope your all having a great day. Thanks for stopping by...

Sunday Afternoon....

Hey everyone. Hope you've had a wonderful weekend. I've had the last four days off from work and am not looking forward to returning. I would love to stay home all day and color, but alas I'm not independently wealth and I didn't buy a lottery ticket..

This is my second card for next Saturdays class. Another Tilda from the Magnolia Your So Special Collection. Her name is Congratulations Tilda. I don't know why they called her that. She's holding a present?? The background is the Balloon Background stamp. I masked Tilda to get them be hide her. Since it's for class I didn't color 2 or 3 of her and dimensional her. I really wanted to, but that took way to much time last time. I wasn't to sure about the papers when I started, but I think it turned out pretty cute. Very springy.

I managed to finish up my water coloring class also this weekend. I'll share that one with you tomorrow. It looks super cute too. If I do say so myself. Now to take some pictures. Oh and there's Sassy Cheryl Challenge on Tuesday..  I better get on that. I want to make up a cute saying to put on it. Maybe I'll post that too.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a great day...

Secretive Tilda...

Hi everyone. Hope your having a great day. I've enjoyed some crafting time today. Got my class ready for next Saturday. Thank goodness I was stressing about it. I hate it when I'm not inspired and leave it until the last minute. I know Saturday is a long ways from the last minute, but it sure feels close.

This one of the cards we'll be doing. I've been practicing my clothes creases. Lots of tutorial watching over at Make it Crafty. Love Zoe's blog. She has so awesome stamps too, but I haven't went there yet. Afraid I'll get addicted yet again.

I'll be back tomorrow to share the other card. I'm off to play some more. I have to finish my Water coloring card... Thanks for stopping by. Have a fabulous day!!

Having Fun...

Hey everyone. We have some snow this morning. Glad I didn't have to go to work. I hate driving in that stuff. We don't have it very often and everyone drives like crazy people. I'm enjoying some free time. I spent half of yesterday cleaning up my craft area. It was a mess. I couldn't even see the counter. The other half coloring. I'm working on next months classes. I don't seem to be getting very far. I would get something colored and decide that's not really what I want to do. So I only have one finished. I have to get those done today..

Here is a cute C.C. Designs image from All That Scraps. Her name is Sweetheart Birgitta. Isn't she adorable. She was in the January release. Super cute! I made a couple of these up for my friends Joni (Hi Joni) and Sue (Hi Sue). I ran out of gift bags at my last class and they were kind enough to go with out. So of course I wanted them to get a cute card with there gift bag after I made them up. I have used a couple of MFT dies: Flower Trio & Leaf Trio and the edge die that they seem to be out of at the moment. So I can't look up the name. It also has a matching circle die. Also out.... I love all the different dies available now. So many to choose from..

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you all have a fabulous day..

Fun Game...

Zoe over at Make It Cafty is playing a game. Looks like fun so thought I would join in and play. Have no idea what any of those saying mean.. So I'm going to make mine up. Who knows maybe I'll get a couple right.

Here's her post:

Happy Australia Day to my fellow Aussies!
I have been thinking about how to celebrate this day with all my friends from around the world and after a number of ideas were tossed out the window I finally thought up a hair brain idea that could be a bit of fun!
As some of you may know, us Aussies have quite a way with words. From an outsiders view we may seem a little lazy in the way we can’t really be bothered finishing words correctly.
Instead of saying “Lipstick’ we say ‘Lippy’, instead of saying “Barbecue”, we’ll throw it on the “Barbie”! Not only do we like to shorten words, our pioneers (from shearers, drovers and swagman many years ago)  have coined some ridiculously funny and most often very colourful phrases and words, many of which are still in use today!
So I thought it could be a little bit of fun to share some of our ‘slang’ with you today and play a game!
I have picked out a few words and phrases to share with you, which has been quite difficult as there are so many great ones (plus I tried hard to leave out the very colourful terms… heehee). Glance over them, and then read on for the details of how to play the game!
1. You little Ripper        1) Me: Paper Crafter who like's Paper Tearing...
2. Well I’ll be buggered!          2)  Me: Amazing...
3. Crikey                      3) Me: Holy Shit...
4. Fair dinkum                 4) Me: Very small donut...
5. On a good wicket        5) Me: On a Good Day (like a day off from work)...
6. Make a proper galah of yourself      6) Me: Make a fool of yourself...
7. She’ll be apples   7) Me: No idea hopefully it involves me getting Apple Pie...
8. Ridgie Didge         8) Me: The place I want to put ugly projects...
9. Buggerlugs     9) Me: Someone who helps carry my craft purchases home...
10. Give it a burl             10) Me: Give it a try...
11. Bob’s yer uncle        11) Me: I don't have a Bob?..
12. Go like the clappers    12) Me: Run as fast as you can to the craft store.
13. Ningnong        13) Me: Shit I missed the sale at the craft store....
14. Good Onya!   14) Me: Good day I made it to the sale at the craft store..
15. Rough end of the stick    15) Me: Something my EX-husband deserves a few times..

So what’s the game?
Well, I am hoping you had a chuckle and thought, “What on earth do these mean?”
That’s what I want you to tell me!
  1. Pick one or two or all of them if you are having fun, and make up your own dictionary meaning for them.
You can of course use google to find out what they do mean, and that may help you get a little more creative but I do think it would be even funnier if you made up your own meanings without knowing the ‘Aussie meaning’ first. heehee
  2. Create a post on your blog (you can add it within a post you will already be writing if you like) and share your Aussie Slang interpretation.
  3. Make sure you link back to this post so that others can come play too (plus, it will help to explain what you are up to!)
  4. Then come back here and add a link to your post in the linky below so we can all come on over for a laugh or two!
You don’t have to be funny or creative to join in! Just share with us your interpretation of the phrase or word!
There will be Winners of course!!
A random winner will be drawn who will receive a $50 voucher to spend on any of theMake it Crafty brand products.
And I will also be selecting a few that have me in stitches to win some random prizes of my choice!
You can enter up to THREE times. BUT each entry must be on a new post and use different words or phrases from the selection above.
Entries will close February 26th and I will announce the winners along with the ‘actual’ Aussie meanings shortly after.
And of course Aussies can enter too!
I hope you will join me for a few laughs to celebrate Australia Day with the good old Aussie Spirit of cheer and fun!
And I wouldn’t be a True Blue Aussie if I didn’t finish off with:
Aussie Aussie Aussie, Oi Oi Oi!!

Ok my answers are silly, but it was fun. Maybe you can play along too. Go check it out.

Doesn't he look happy?  This was on Cheryl's show me this week and I guess she must have gotten a bunch of request for her to finish it because it's in the store already. Thanks Cheryl. Kitty...

It's the start of a whole new week. I can hardly wait. I did ask for Thursday & Friday off so maybe it'll be a short one. This is another old Elisabeth Bell stamp I dug out of the closet. Well actually they are in a binder I haven't looked at in a while. It's called Kitty. Just adorable is what I think.  The saying is from Lily of the Valley. They such cute circle saying. The dragonfly is a Magnolia DooHickey die. I cut it out three times so I could pop it up. I only used the middle of the brown one for the front. Looks really cute.

Hope everyone say a speedy Monday so you can get home and color. That's what I'll be wishing for.. Thanks for stopping by..

Daisy...

Oh no the weekend is almost over... Why does it go so fast?? On to Monday... I did manage to make a couple of cards this weekend though. I dug out this old Elisabeth Bell stamp. Her name is Daisy. I still think this line is adorable. The paper is left over scraps I had on the counter. The daisies are a couple of Marvy punches. It's fun to get out something you've had forever and use it again...

Hope your all having a great weekend. Thanks for stopping by. I enjoy all your wonderful comments. Sorry it takes me so long to get back to your blog. There doesn't seem to be enough time in the day. But I do stop in and see your fabulous creations.

Shy Rose Edwin...

Happy Wednesday everybody. We've made it to the half way point in the week. I'm ready for  a vacation. Some where sunny. It's cold and rainy here and I guess we are to expect maybe snow tomorrow/Friday. Yuck! I'll take cold and rainy instead.

Todays card features Shy Rose Edwin from the new Magnolia Your So Special Collection. Isn't he a doll? I've been watching a bunch of great tutorials and practicing my shading a bit. Still a long ways to go, but I'm liking the results. He'd make a great just because card or birthday even.

I'm off to work. I have CPR class today that I glanced at the book for. Hopefully we'll be learning everything we need to know in class. Other wise I'm in deep trouble. Thanks for stopping by. Have a fabulous day!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #50...

Happy Tuesday everybody. Hope your ready for this weeks challenge over at the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog. This weeks challenge is to " Recycle, Re-purpose, Reuse". How fun you can use up some old stuff.. I have use an old image I colored forever ago called Watermelon Bee. Isn't she cute? I had originally colored her and then didn't like how it turned out, but hey you got to use some of this stuff  laying around on your desk right? So I went to the paper closet to find some suitable paper. And I found a Nook & Pantry paper pack by Basic Grey. I don't really like that either, but hey is matches my colored image. Throw on some flowers that I cut from the scrap bin (recycling) and ta da. I think it turned out cute.

I really like my My Favorite Things Die Namic die Flowers. I need to go buy another one so I can cut out twice as many in one time through. I like having two dies it takes a lot less time to cut out flowers and foliage that way. Unless you have someone else cut them out for you.. :)

Go check out the other DT creations. They are super as usual. I hope you'll find some time to join us this week. Look forward to seeing your creations.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful day..

Happy Valentine's...

Happy Valentine's day everyone. Are you going out tonight? Staying in and watching T.V. and relaxing?  I'm not sure what I'm doing yet. I'm leaving it up to my honey. I'm ok with what ever he comes up with. We've been married for 11 years so chocolates and flowers aren't that important to me at this point. But wait I better be getting something even dinner cooked and waiting when I get home from work is great.. :)

What have I completely lost it... I love Chocolates... Happy Valentine's Day Honey.. I LOVE YOU!!

Hope you all have a fabulous Valentine's Day yourselves!!

Will You Be My Valentine Tilda....

Hello everyone. Hope your all having a great day. Thought I'd join the challenge today over at Make It Crafty. I've just discovered Zoe's Blog. And WOW it's really cool. Love all her fabulous coloring hints and her cards are awesome. Lots of inspiration to be gained. The challenge this week is Shadow and Depth. My image is called Will You Be My Valentine Tilda from the new Magnolia Your So Special Collection.

I couldn't get a very good picture of the different layers I added to this one. I colored my Tilda three times and cut out different parts to pop up. I love how this looks in person. You can definitely get some practice in while coloring all the layers.

Hope your having a relaxing Sunday.. I'm off to play some more..

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #48...

Hey everyone. Hope your all having a fabulous day. Today is a new challenge over at the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog. This weeks challenge is " Celebrate Birthday's with a Sassy Girl Image". The DT have all made super awesome creations to share with you. Alas I have no card today, but I hope you'll still join the challenge.

I've been having computer issues for a while now. The stupid thing just crashes when ever it feels like. Usually when I'm in the middle of something. Well Saturday was the last of my patience so I went out and bought a new computer. Who knew it would be so hard to get everything back the way it was before. The operating system is an upgrade so half the stuff it doesn't want to open. Lucky for me I've been through this all before so I'm a firm believer in having a back up. It's just getting everything back up and running like before. My poor husband has spent the last three days putting everything back to sort of normal. Getting the programs running. Tonight I came home all excited to print out my image and color it real fast to it won't print. More setting to a just... I did get it printed finally. But I won't have time to color it and put it together tonight. But I'll try and get it finished up and posted some day this week... I'll be back!!
