Distressing.....

Hey everyone. Hope your all having a fabulous day. Thanks for stopping by!! The owner of my local scrapbook store Michelle asked me the other day if I knew anything about distressing. Well I said I don't like to get dirty. I can stamp all day with out ever getting ink on me. I tried decoupage once. I hated it. You get all that glue all over the place. Not my favorite thing. But she showed me these great new Tim Holtz stamps she'd just gotten in and said I could take a couple home to play with. Well I couldn't pass that up now could I?

What do you think?
I had ink all over myself by the time I got done. It's pretty messy. I made a big pile of distressing stuff on my counter. Thought since I'm going to give it a go I'll try a few different things. So we have distressing embossing power, distressing inks, Pearl Ex powder, distressing stickles, regular stickles & distressing glimmer mist(I made) All in all I think it turned out pretty good. Don't know that it's my favorite thing, but willing to give it another try. I do still have more stamps to play with.. :o)

Playing Around...

I can't believe how fast the weekend has went by. It should be longer!! I had my class yesterday over at Memories of Time and then I went to see my niece Paige ride her 4 wheeler over at the dunes. My sister has been asking me forever to come out one day when they are there so she can give me a ride in the rhino. Since yesterday was such a nice day out I decided I better get out there. I was fun. Paige is a great rider for only being 4. I can't wait to see her dad's face when she wants to start jumping that thing.. :o)

Today I spent playing around in my stamp room using up scraps I have laying in a huge pile on the counter. I can't believe how fast it adds up. This first one is a one of the ones I picked up last week over at Spesch Designer Stamps. It's Alice turning into a rabbit. Isn't it cute?

This next one is from KLM Designs. Did you hear they are going to be making clear stamps. Cool right! So stay tuned for that. The image is called Karah's Bear. She's one of the ones I had printed up but haven't had time to color. I think she's adorable. I have also used this week Friday Sketchers Challenge. Super cute sketch and awesome DT creations.. I love there sketches. Wish I had more time to play more.

Hope your having a fabulous weekend...

Sassy Cheryl...

I went totally out of the box for the colors on this one. But I loved this 7 Gypsies paper. It's all grudged up. I think the color got me first. It's black and this beautiful aqua blue. It looks really cool. I actually bought the paper for a water color class I'll be teaching at my local Scrapbook store Memories of Time some time in the future. I like to do my classes up ahead of time and have them ready. That way if I change my mind in the month it's sitting on my desk I can make a new one. The cute image is available at Sassy Cheryl's store. It's called "Small Friendship". You can get it as a digital stamp or already colored. Pretty cool right?

Cheryl has beautiful images. I'm constantly over at the store checking out the new stuff. I'd be ok if they weren't all so fabulous. Did you see all the wonderful challenge cards the DT made up for Sassy Cheryl's Digi Stamp Challenge Blog? There are some super talented ladies on the team. I'm always amazed at how different every card is.

Hope you having a great day!!!

I already had to go get a couple more yesterday because there were 2 new ones and some old ones I didn't get the first time. One of the new ones is called "Down the Rabbit Hole". Alice is turning into a rabbit. How fitting is that. The other one is a summer girl in a bikini and hat. Really cute.. I can't wait to see what's to come. Waiting for Sarah Kay...

I'm sort of patiently waiting for the new Stampavie stamps. It's seem to be taking forever. So while I'm waiting I broke out one of my old Sarah Kay stamps "Spring is Back". I love these beautiful images. I even stamped her hat twice and pop it up on pop dots to give it some dimension. I have also discovered stickles.. Wow those flowers look great with a layer of sparkle on them. If you haven't seen the new Stampavie stamps yet head over to 7 Kids College Fund and check them out Tab has them on Pre-Order. Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #2...

Oh my it's time for week two over at Sassy Cheryl's Digi Stamps Challenge Blog. The sassy girls have come up with some fabulous creations to inspire your creativity. This weeks challenge is a "Sketch". It's a really fun one too. My image this week is called "A Birds Song". It's brand new this week. I don't know how Cheryl comes up with all these super cute images every week.. Make sure and head over and check out all the new images.

My husband took me to the big city Sunday to go to Michael's to pick up some new Martha Stewart punches.. Note the cute new flower punch. It's called Chrysanthemum (wow that's a long one, glad I wrote it on the punch). It's a large punch and I love it. My hubby is so cute he kept pointing out all these different punches and they kept ending up in the basket he was carrying around. He even said wow you got all those punches for only $150. Is he a keeper or what? Lucky for us Michael's is an hour away so I don't go there too much, usually when I need a shopping pick me up..

We also went to Home Depot and check out the trees and new flowers coming in. We took my car so we will have to return. I feel the need for some pretty new bushes and flowers for the yard. Especially in the front so I can see them every time I walk out the door to go to work. A little extra pick me up in the morning. Maybe we'll head over there tomorrow..

Hope your having a fabulous day!!

KLM Designs...

Check out this cute bunny I found over at KLM Designs. Isn't he cute? He's called "Funny Bunny". Perfect for those up coming Easter cards I'll be needing. There is also a short tutorial on K's Card Creations & Digi Stamps Blog on how to use digi stamps. If you haven't yet tried digi go check out the tutorial.

I'm really loving this Imaginisce - Lucy Bird paper. It's two sided so you get twice the paper choices. I love that!! Evidently the girls at my local scrapbook store Memories of Time also love it because we all picked it to do classes with. I don't know how that happened we don't hang out together. Weird right. I decided to change my paper choice so we could have some verity. We can't have classes all month using the same paper choice.
Anyways it gave me a chance to browse the store for more paper.

Hope you had a great weekend and it continues through the work week..

Class at MOT today...

I've been a terrible blogger this week. I'm sorry. It's been terribly busy at work. We became a Rural Health Clinic the first of the year and I haven't been able to bill anything out. We have been waiting on our CMS rate. Well we finally got that this week so I then had to figure out how to bill on a new form called a UB04. I didn't think it would be any trouble until I actually look at it with it 81 spaces, then I freaked out. So I spent the week doing research, so I would stop waking up in the middle of the night dreaming out the stupid form. Well yesterday I think I got everything figured out and ready to go. Yep I'm doing the happy dance... :o)

So today I'm going to my  local scrapbook store to teach water coloring. This is the card we are going to be making. Tilda Gathers Straw is the image I used. Isn't she adorable? I love those magnolia images. I see Tab has gotten in the pre-order over at 7 Kids College Fund and also has the Hoppy Easter ones on Pre-Order.
Totally adorable. I off to get ready and eat breakfast..

Have a fabulous day!!
