Yeah Christmas is OVER....

I hate to say it but I'm tired of making Christmas cards. So YIPPIE Christmas is over!!! I have spent the whole weekend making other cards for different challenges to come. It was very relaxing. It helped a bunch that I was ticked at my dear husband. The poor guy!! I guess he doesn't have it that bad since he could watch what ever he wanted on T.V. for two days straight. So I'm not feeling that bad for him....

Now on to my card. My friend Sue's birthday is Christmas day, but I just couldn't make her a Christmas card Birthday card. You know what I mean... So this is what I made for her. She had her whole family over for the holiday so I still have the card and her gift. I'll have to hook up with her this week some time and give it to her. This will probably be the one time that Sue looks at my blog... :o)
Also did you see the new Bittersweet paper by Basic Grey? It's super pretty!! So if you haven't seen it yet head on over to Basic Grey and check it out!!

Hey did you also notice I made me a new watermark for my cards. Isn't it cute?? I'm getting better at the whole PSP thing. I even made up a bunch of sketches this weekend. I'm feeling great now if I didn't have to go to work tomorrow... Oh well you can't have everything... :o)
Hope you all having a great day!!!

Everybody Art Challenge #18.....

This weeks challenge over at Everybody Art Challenge is "Gingerbread". The other DT have made some wonderfull cards so hope over and check them out.

Luckily Lisbet sent me this wonderful gingerbread couple (pepperkakepar) in my DT package from Scrapmagasinet. Aren't they cute?

I embossed my image with fine clear detail embossing power and then colored it with my Copic markers.
I still had the markers sitting out so I took a picture so you could see what colors I used. I have a hard time remembering to write them down. Then I usually end up putting them away right after I'm done with them.

I still need some more practice but they are fun to use. I can see how you'd want all the colors. So I guess I know what my Christmas bonus from work will be buying... :)

Well speaking of work I'm off to get ready.. Hope your all having a wonderful day!!

Part Time???

Hello everybody.. Hope you are all doing well! Is everybody ready for Christmas? I'm not!

Just wanted to stop by today and let you know why I haven't been on a lot lately. You see I work a part time job on Saturdays. At the end of last month I found out the manager had given notice and would be leaving at the end of the year. Well no one at the office knows how to do medical billing, so I have been learning how to do it. Needless to say it's a lot to take in. So sorry I haven't been posting much, but I'm hoping once I have it all figured out it'll be a lot easier.

Now onto my card. Isn't this the cutest little image? It's a Stampendous stamp called Mistletoe Pixies I picked up over at KT Stamps. Katie has a wonderful store and the cheapest I've found for buying Stampendous stamps. So if you have a chance head over and check it out.

I've colored my image with Ranger Distressing Inks and a water brush. I love how fast it is. I can color a bunch of images while I watch T.V. with this method. Unlike with my Prisma pencils that I can only color one or two. But I love how both methods look. I still need to have a chance to practice with my Copic's. Although I did use those to color tomorrows Everybody Art Challenge card.
Well I'm off to work. Hope everyone is having a wonderful day!!

  • Stamps: Stampendous - Mistletoe Pixies
  • Paper: CTMH - Card Stock, SEI - Glitzmas

One of Ten....

My friend Joni at work asked me to make her 20 Christmas cards. She wanted all the same image, but I could make two of each design. So that's what I worked on all Thanks Giving weekend. I wanted to get them finished so she could send them out.

It even worked out that I had the SEI paper delivered at work. She seen it...loved it and that's what I used to make all the cards. So I didn't have to make any choices. All the paper goes together and it's double sided. I love that!!

So guess what you'll be seeing for the next few days. I even managed to make one for the Everbody Art Challenge tomorrow. How cool is that! My first challenge card as a DT member and I managed to work it into something I was already working on. :)

Birthday Card.....

Today is my nephew Deacons 2nd birthday party. I had already bought his present the other day, but forgot to pick up a card. I know what am I thinking why would I buy a card when I can make one.

Well my reasoning was he'll be 2 he won't care about the card. But in the end I decided to head over to PC Crafter and look at the birthday clip art and see what they had. Well I found this adorable bear. Isn't he cute? The package is called Doodle Heart - Birthday Bears. The kit comes with a bunch of super cute images.

The whole card took me about 10 minutes to make. Ok only because I made 4. 1 for the birthday boy and 3 for the basket. Digital images are just so quick and easy why only cut out everything for one card when you can whip up 4 or more in a few minutes. :)

I even made an insert for the inside with a different image. I can see more digital image cards in my future. I discovered PC Crafter over at Cheryl's blog God and I on the Railroadtracks. She has some super cute cards. So if you have time stop over and say hi.

And beware if you decide to check out PC Crafter's website. Digital stuff can be just as addicting as all the other stamping stuff we already collect.... I know I already have a dozen digital kits. :)

Well I'm off to the party... Hope your all having a great weekend!!

This months challenge is to decorate a container.

Well silly me I forgot about it until Wenche reminded me yesterday morning with her email picture of her creation. (thank you Wenche!) So I had to make this up last night after work.

Well lucky me I happen to come across this tutorial over at the With Love From Holland Blog.
So I rushed home, ate dinner and whipped this cute little box up in no time. I thought it would be perfect for some little candies or maybe some small cards?

Scrapmagasinet DT Card.....

There's a new Krilla available at the store. Isn't she cute?
Krilla is the first Scrapmagasinet stamp I saw. I fell in love with her from the beginning. I couldn't wait to get a hold of Lisbet the owner of the Scrapmagasinet store and find out how I could get some of my very own.
I love how she looks like me - full figured, so I think she's beautiful. I eagerly look forward to every new one. I'm in Christmas card making mod. I've managed to make all my Tilda & Friends Christmas card exchange cards already. I've made more Christmas cards lately then I thought. When I went through my basket I had a bunch. April the owner of my local Scrapbook store has let me leave a basket of cards at the store. I found I had quite a pile up and didn't know what to do with them. Well I was sharing this with April and she kindly is letting me sell them at the store. Thank you April!!!
I love how this one turned out. The Christmas paper from My Minds Eye is so cute. Who couldn't love it. And I found a bigger snowflake die from Sizzix so I could nest two together. I like how that looks. And the cute tag is a new CTHM stamp set I just bought called Christmas Melodies D1324 . There are 11 tags and 3 musical notes in this set. Really cute!!
Well hopefully I'm working myself out of the crafting slump I've found myself in here lately. I just can't seem to get motivated. I've spent a bunch of time watching T.V. and coloring images. I just can't seem to make anything. I'm not getting any reading done either. I need more time in my day's.

Two More Magnolia's.....

Here's the other two cards from the scrap basket.
Both of these little Magnolia stamps are too cute!!! The Christmas line is super too, but I was good and didn't get any. I figured I didn't need that many Christmas stamps. I already have a bunch to use this year already.

Well off to work. Hope your having a great day!!

Computer Trouble....

Well this weekend I finally had it with the computer acting up. Freezing up while I'm blog hoping really pisses me off!!! So I had to have my IT guy (hubby) take a look at it. Did I mention I Love him!!! He spent half the day taking crap off that didn't need to be on there running and deleting junk. He also got on line after all that and ordered me 4GB of RAM that should be here later this week.... I should be able to do all kinds of things now with all that memory!!!
Well while he was working on that in my room I couldn't get online so I got to looking at my scrap basket. That's what I throw all my scrap paper in after I've made a card. It was a mess so I decided to clean it out. That ment cutting it all into 6x6 or 4.25 x 5.5 pieces. Then throwing most of the rest away. Man was there a lot in there I ended up with a huge stack of cut squares. I didn't know the basket could hold that much.
These are two of the cards I made using scraps only. After spending hours cleaning it all up I decided maybe I better use some of it up. Worked out perfect since I still hadn't made my 4 raining cards for my Magnolia-lious group. So you'll get to see two more tomorrow.
I also spent some time water coloring with my new Peerless paper that I got from My Favorite Things. Wow is that awesome stuff. Water color on a piece of paper. Cool!!
Well I'm off to work.... Hope you are all having a great day!!!
