I'm Behide You....

I couldn't resist this guy. Isn't he cute? This will be my husband someday. :) I picked him and the saying up over at RubberNecker Stamps . And I used the same kit from Classy Coordinates from the last post because it was still out.
I got the sketch from Poetic Artistry. Julee has a great blog with wonderful ideas. Oh I also used my Spellbinders to cut out the saying I love that thing. I colored him with my Copic markers, the few I have... I'm getting more of those they are great!!!
I also noticed they annouced the stamp club over at Magnolia Inspirations today. I want to sign up for that.. As soon as I figure out how much it is in US$. They have super cute stamps.
Off to try another sketch I seen over at Taylored Expressions... Until later :)

Stuck.....

Ok Lori here it is. Maybe you can come up with a cute cutter file for this problem.
It's a nice spring day and my husband decides we should take a drive up to Hanging Rock. It's a local place in Oregon we have never been... I'm always telling him there is nothing to see in Oregon, but trees, rocks and water... :)
Journaling says: Ok! We have spent forever in the car trying to get to Hanging Rock. Took every dirt road known to man kind. So we run into a little snow NO problem we will just drive right through.... HA!!! We are stuck!!

Our conversation- Me: I am not hiking out 50 miles to get a tow truck I will wait in the car.
Mike: Honey... I will get us out.
Me: Sure you will...
Ok so after 45 minutes of messing with the stuck car he did get it out... But from now on the Kia is not a snow mobile.
That little bit of snow turned out to be about 2 feet deep. And yes he's smiling as I took his picture from inside the car. I guess he's use to it by now. All though he didn't find my comments about the tree branches he was tring to put under the tires very funny! But we did have a great day and Hanging Rock was awesome. It's like standing on the edge of the world.

And here's the card I did for Beate's weekend challenge last night. I used the SU stamp: Loads of Fun that I stamped at my friend Sue's. Everything else came from a kit that I got at Classy Coordinates . I think I'll give it to my honey for Valentines Day.
I'm going to try and work on a couple of other challenges I've seen this week.
Hope your all having a Great day!! :)

The List.....

These are the pictures I took for my picture taking day (one of my resolutions). It's a few of the things I think my husband should work on. I love him but he's really good at starting something and not finishing it.
Like the burn pile that's been waiting for him to be burned for 2 years. Come on now it's not to dry now... Why can't I go out and light it off?
And what about the grout for those few tile by the door.... That's an inside job. It doesn't matter if it's raining out side. Or the Plug In's in my room. Just finish them already!
Now I can see the deck has to wait until summer you can't do that when it's raining outside. But please say it won't take as long as painting the house (still not done almost but not quite finished)
And the garage.... I spent the day out there with you cleaning it up. What happened? My half was spot less now look at it. It looks like SH*T. This summer that will all be thrown out side and then put back in where it goes. If I have to do it myself. I can't even get to the freezer.
Poor honey I bet he didn't know he was marring a slave driver. In his defence he is in charge of maintenance at the school. Who wants to work on stuff all day then come home and spend your time off working on stuff??? :) He does like to go to Home Depot/Lowes with me though, to get more projects. Like the garden tub, that I won't let him start putting in until he finishes the other stuff.
Until later... :)
P.S. Honey doesn't know my blog address.... :) SHHH don't tell him!

SC160

While I was browsing last night I came across the challenge over at Split Coast Stampers and thought I'd give it a try.
I used the SU stamp set Embrace Life and a kit a got from Classy Coordinates awhile back. I had already colored the flower image so that made it go pretty quick.
I've decided I really like kits. There's no guess work, everything is in there and it all matches. Make's putting something together quick and pain free. :)

Todays Adventure.....

When I woke up this morning and looked out the window in a sleep induced haze this is what I found. Snow!! It was snowing we don't have snow. Well hardly ever, but 2 years in a row. It's not much, but it did turn everything white. And it's still here now. It turned to slush this afternoon and now it's freezing outside so it's turned to ice. My daughter Emily went to work in the next town over and then came home. She told them it was just to dangerous to be driving at night when she was suppose to get off at 11pm. It would be all froze by then.

This is Cupid.... He isn't enjoying the snow at all. Doesn't he look pit-a-ful? He couldn't go fast enough and then get back inside. He's blind so I think the whole experience just through him off.
Here's my honey.. He came out to watch me take pictures in the yard and throw snowballs at Apollo. He's all bundled up for the freeze... I'm wearing just a sweater. it didn't seem that cold to me, not compared to not having any heat in the house for 2 days. Thank You God!!! the heaters working now.
Here's Apollo catching the snowballs. He loved the whole adventure of it all. Every time I went out he had to come too. Just to check to make sure it was still out there. He's just to funny!!
So this was todays adventure... I did manage to make a couple of cards though and I took a bunch of snow pictures...
Until later.... :)

Lizzie Anne....

Here's another card I worked on this past weekend. I used the High Hellos stamp set from Lizzie Anne. It's a cute stamp set. I like that it has the picture stamps and the saying stamps all in one. I colored the flowers with my Prisma pencils and Gamsol. The paper is CTMH: Cranberry and Basic Grey. I used a little piece of ribbon under the flowers. I really need to embellish more.
My husband is suppose to help me make a light box this weekend. With all these dark cloudy days I need one for picture taking. I think he volunteered because he saw how much the set I was looking at cost. But we'll be able to work on it together so that should be fun.
Did you see that Magnolia has released some new stamps? They are really cute... I think I'll hop over and get a few, but it's hard to decide. :)

It's A Whole New Day...

One of the scrapbook pages I worked on this weekend. That is our ugly wood stove!! I hate that thing. It's dirt, ugly and stinks the place up. But last week when we had cold weather 29* it decided not to work at all. So we went 2 days using that little radiator heater. It can not heat a 4 bedroom house!!! We had on sweaters and gloves... Finally my husband was able to tear it apart on Saturday.... And we have heat again. But we will be getting a new heating system this Summer for sure. So for now I Love It!! :)
How about that cute camp fire? I got that over at Paperthreads from Chris Durnan she has super cute cutter files. She also has a super cool blog. Go over and say HI...
I did receive my new KNK but haven't gotten it out of the box yet. I guess I should work on that. Maybe cut out some more of Chris's files I have collected. And Maybe some of Lori's too.
More later....

What A Day...

This is me today!! I got up this morning and wondered all day why I bothered. Do you ever have those days where everything just seems to push your buttons? Well today was one of those days. But I'm sure tomorrow will be better!
I got this cute stamp over at Art Impressions . Isn't she cute? The inside says "perhaps you heard the scream that followed". This was how I felt today.... No special stuff on this one. Just my Prisma colored pencil stamped image and paper I just went in and grabbed. I think I'll give this one to my boss at work. :)

Oh and here is the great stamps I got from HM Stamps . Dick has super prices and great service. I signed up for the House of Mouse stamp of the month. (February is the one with the cherries & the Have a Micey Nice Valentines Day saying)They are super cute. Now I just need to make something with them. I also got the Great impressions January stamp of the month. The one with the hearts. These look super fun to color. I guess I better stamp some up for TV night with honey...
I also managed to do 2 scrapbook pages this weekend along with a bunch of cards so I'm feeling pretty good about that. I'll share those later. I need to get better about writing down the stuff I used so I can list it. I can admit it I suck at that. I just get started and forget. :)
Also a couple of you asked about the Rakle stamps. I added a link in the last post to libet's store. I'm also going to be ordering Collection 4 if your interested in a buy in for that or any of the others you might like when I order again in February. Just let me know.

Fabulous RAK...

Here is the FABULOUS RAK!! I received from Kathy over at Bit's and Pieces my SBS3 swap sister. She has an awesome blog. I enjoy going over there and checking out all her fabulous creations. She also picks some wonderful blog eye candy for us to enjoy. So if you haven't visited her yet hop on over and say HI!!
Kathy I love your flower card you posted for the challenge. It's beautiful....

I also received my Rakle's in the mail. They are super cute!! I haven't had time to play with them yet but I will. I like how some of the girls are chubby (like me). They are going to be great fun to color.
( Kathy do you have any of these? I can stamp you some up to send next time.)
I had to work yesterday, but today I had a chance to make up some cards. I'll share those later.
I have been coloring images at night while I listen to the TV with my hubby. (quality time!) I also took some pictures yesterday that I'm going to scrapbook. For my picture taking day (one of my Resolutions). I need to do that tonight or it might get put on the back burner.
So until later... :)
P.S. You can get the Rakles here or the next time I order I can order you some. I had a buy in posted on here a while back and no one was interested so I deleted it. But if some of you are interested let me know and I'll order some more.

Yippie It's Friday!!

Here's my card for today. I love this little penguin. He's from last months CC Designs release. I got him over at All That Scraps. I used this cute new cuttlebug embossing folder I just got to make the front then stamped him in the middle. I colored him with my Prisma pencils and used a pop dot on the yellow balloon. Very simple and fast... But still cute!!
I had a hard time with the embossing folder it kept creasing the paper. I ran about 15 pieces of paper through before I got it right. I had to run it through sideways. I liked it so much I ordered some more folders at Joann's while they we're on sale!
Off to work.... I'll post the cute card I got from Kathy my SBS3 swapping sister later and the great stuff I received from HM Stamps yesterday... :)

It's Almost Friday....

Yippie it's almost Friday!! It's been a long week already. I'm ready for the weekend. I love this little lady stamp ( Art Impressions) she's just so happy about something.
I colored her with my Prisma pencils I got for Christmas. I really love those. I also used some sparkly brads I picked up at my local scrapbook store here a while back. They are really cute. I also picked up the glitter so I could make my own. But haven't gotten to that yet.

It's not too fancy, but I think it's cute. Now to send it to someone??
I went to my friend Sue's Tuesday night to stamp and I came home with this great assortment of stamped images. She has a bunch of great stamp I don't have so I brought my card stock and stamp pads and stamped some up. Saved me a couple of bucks for those new Magnolia stamps that I want to get. They have some super cute stamps!! And I love the new ones they are going to be releasing!! I have to get some....
Well off to work... Until later.. :)

P.S. I Love You...

This was the movie we went and watched yesterday. Talk about a tear jerker!! But I loved it... It will be a must buy when it comes out on DVD. It's about a married couple. The husband dies and leaves his wife notes to help her get started again. WOW! what a guy. Oh and did I mention it has HOT guys in it!! and there Irish, so they have the accent and everything. My husband wasn't impressed.... It could be that I started the movie out with wow he's HOT!!! But he still gave me the tissues during the sappy parts. So if you haven't seen it yet, it really good..
Off to work now. Until later... Have a great day! :)

I Love Mail....

Look at this wonderful card I received from my blogging sister Annie yesterday... Isn't it cute?? I totally forgot she was sending me this great give away she posted on her blog, so it was a wonderful surprise when I got home from working late. There's nothing like getting a great card in the mail.
I'm going to have to get me some of these cute Magnolia stamps!! They are perfect for coloring. I'll add them to my wish list.
I'm waiting for the new My Favorite Things stamps to release tonight at 8:30 pm. They have some super cute stamps so I'm sure I'll love these new ones. I'm hoping they will have a discount again tonight so I can get a few. I love discounts, free shipping, specials, ect... It makes me not say NO other wise it's like I guess I can wait for a special.....Maybe!! So we'll see maybe I'll get some maybe not.
I'm going to be working on some swap images while I wait. I couple of ladies asked me to swap Bella images with them, so I need to stamp them up and get them in the mail.
Have a great day!! :)

Quilt 2....

Here is the colors I picked for quilt 2. My husband wasn't crazy about the yellow... But I liked it so it went in.
I decided to do a kind of picture frame quilt with a bunch of squares in the middle. I first had to decided on my block size then divided that up into different size squares that made up the center section.
Then I started adding borders around that to make it look like a picture frame. I'm not to crazy about it but when you put it on the bed and it draps over the side it looks really cute. I wish I had made the middle bigger! But didn't want to tear it all out after I had it together..... :)
So here is the finished quilt. Again thank you honey for holding it up for me.

Now on to a new project.... :)

Happy New Year....

Happy New Year everybody!!!
My Goals for 2008:

1. Spend more quality time with my honey.
2. Spend at least one day a month scrapbooking those pictures on the computer.
3. Lose 20 pounds.
4. Learn to use my new markers.
5. Buy & wrap 2 Christmas presents a month.
6. Bring savings up to $2400.
7. Have a picture taking day once a month and create a layout with the pictures.
8. Stop hoarding my stuff and use it.

This looks like a good starting point. And at least if a write them down I can look back and see what needs improvement in 2009....
Have a great day!
