Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #66...

Happy Tuesday everyone. Are you ready for another Sassy Cheryl Challenge? This week's challenge is " Gift Card, Tag or Box". I'm not very good at all that, but I did make mine into a tag I put onto ac card. This week's image is called " The Little Girls Flower". Totally cute!! I think this weeks card turned out adorable, unlike last weeks card. Poor thing. This one has more girlie stuff. That pink ribbon I stole off a stuff sheep my husband found in the closet he cleaned out. The sheep went to Adikia to love to pieces.. I got the ribbon. She was carrying it around and I snatched it from her. Ha Ha..

Hope you'll find some time to join us this week. I'd love to see what you come up with. Thanks for stopping by. Have a great day!

Edwin Waiting for Fish...

My local store Memories of Time got in the new Magnolia Sweet Rainbow Collection last week and of course I had to rush over and get them. They have an online store if you'd like to pick some up yourself.  I was thinking about using this for my Water Coloring Class, but I think it needs more pizazz. One of the things about boy cards you can't add a BUNCH of flowers.. I think it turned out cute. I just don't know what else I could add to make it WOW. So no class I'll have to start over. But I'll throw it in my kit bag.. It is still cute!

I have colored Edwin with Ranger Distressing Inks:

  • Skin: Tattered Rose & Tea Dye
  • Hair/Pants/Fishing Pole: Walnut Stain
  • Shirt: Broken China
  • Magnolia Branch: Vintage Photo
  • Flowers: Fired Brick
  • Leaves: Peeled Paint & Forest Moss
  • Water/Sky: Tumbled Glass with A touch of Black Soot Under is feet.
  • Bobber: Fired Brick & Black Soot

The Paper is Echo Park: Summer Days, Bazzill Card Stock, Edwin Waiting for Fish, Magnolia Branch, Ranger Distressing Inks

Hope your having a great long weekend. Have a fabulous day.

Sigh Mae..

Hey everyone. Hope your having a great long weekend. We had pouring rain this morning. Yuck! It's cleared off for the moment. I've fallen in love with Some Odd Girl Images. Isn't this one cute? Her name is "Sigh Mae". They are on sale this weekend if you'd like to pick some up. They also have some in clear stamps. The one I used is a digital. I picked this one because I wanted my image to be sitting and she has such a happy look on her face.

I made this for my Tuesday Fun with Heather class. The girls want to do some different stuff. Like distressing and adding some paint and stuff. It's kind of messy, but I loved how it turned out. So getting a little dirty was ok. I still have to do my water coloring card. I made one up but now I'm not sure if I want to use that one. We'll see, I'll stare at it some more and then decide.

Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a great weekend..

Kona...

Hey everyone. Hope your having a great day. I've been working on some classes for next month. I'm taking a Copic Certification Class next month. I missed the one they had last time. So I made sure to sign up this time. We are having a class after the class to practice some of the techniques we will be learning. So I came up with these two cards to play on. I friend Cami from Our Craft Lounge gave me this cute stamp set to use. It's called Hangin' Loose with Kona. Isn't he adorable? I love all the images you get in one stamp set. Very nice.

We should have a bunch of fun. I'm looking forward to class. Now to just come up with my other classes for next month.. Later this week for sure. Thanks for stopping by. Hope you have a great day.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #65...

Happy Tuesday everyone. Hope your all having a great week. Are you ready for a new challenge over at the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog? This weeks challenge is "Patriotic". I got to pull out an image from last year called Patriots Remembered Girl. Isn't she great. I never got a chance last year to color her up. You can also get this one in a boy image.

I don't have any patriotic paper so I tried to make do with red, white & blue. Plus a few stars for embellishments. I think the whole thing needs some more stuff, but I couldn't find anything so it will have to do. Hope you can join us this week. I love seeing your great creations.

Have a fabulous day. Thanks for stopping by.

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #64...

Happy Tuesday everybody. I don't know where the week went. I didn't do any crafting that I can remember. I'll try and do better this week. Are you ready for a new challenge over at the Sassy Cheryl's Challenge Blog? This weeks challenge is to "Color on Kraft Paper". My image was a freebie over an PCP some time ago.

I'm not convinced that I like this. I'm sure it's like every thing else and requires a little practice. But I've seen some fabulous projects colored and Kraft card stock and thought hey how hard can it be.. Well now I know it'll take a few times to get it right. After reading all the other girls comments about their coloring I know I'm not the only one. So that makes me feel better. It truly was a challenge for us this time. But that makes it fun. So get out your craft paper and show us what you got. You may LOVE it..

What Are You Reading?

I've been busy reading this week. I got caught up in a couple of books and the time just flew by. First there was "Sing You Home" by Jodi Picoult. I picked it up because of the author (I find an author I like and read what ever) with out reading what it was about, so it was a surprise. But I still liked it and it had a good ending.

Next there was "Night Road" by Kristin Hannah. Also very good, but sad. You see this kind of thing happening all the time. Very unfortunate. If you like either of these authors you'll love both of these wonderful books.

I read "Barefoot" by Erin Hilderbrand for The Chick-Lits Book Club. I discovered them while blog hopping and loved there book list, so thought I'd give it a try. They have a good selection of authors I've never read before. I like to try out different ones, but never know who to pick. So this will help me branch out. I loved the book and will be adding more of her stuff to my reading list.

I've picked up a couple of others on my Kindle, The Happiness Project, Wish List ( June-Book Club), The Lincoln Lawyer, Water for Elephants (I know I watched the movie, but I have to read the book now. It might be better).

What are you reading?

Ketto...

Hey everyone. Hope your having a fabulous day. I'm going to be playing at Memories of Time tomorrow for National Scrapbook day. I picked up a bunch of cute Stampin Bella stamps last week and thought I would use those for my make & take.

I dug all the patterened paper out of my scrap drawer. Love that it was double sided. They are perfect for smaller cards. These are 4"x4" and quick to color. I might have to brake out my Prisma pencils and play with those a bit.

Do you have anything planned for tomorrow? Scrapbooking stuff? Online Crop? You already know what I'll be doing. Thanks for stopping by. Hope your having a great day!

Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #62...

Hi everyone. Hope your all having a fabulous week. Did you get a chance to join the Sassy Cheryl Challenge last week? Thanks everyone who did your entries where wonderful! This week's challenge is "PINK". Cheryl had all the awesome new teddy bear images last week, so of course I had to grab one for this weeks challenge. Doesn't he look adorable with his big PINK bow. This is Ladybug Bear.

The paper is Basic Grey from the Vicki B Collection. I'm not to into pink, but it turned out really cute. I broke out an MFT Die-Namic for the flowers: Upsy Daisy and cut them out to match the paper I already used on the card. I love that you can do that. I have a ton of bottled flowers, but seem to make more of my own now. That way they match perfectly.

Hope you can find some time to join us this week. Thanks for stopping by. Have a Great day!

Copics Used:

  • Shadow: C0
  • Bear: E57, E55, E50
  • Bow: R89, R85, R83, R81

Episode #2 Secretive Tilda

Water Coloring: Hair

Hey everyone I'm finally back with Episode #2. Today I'm going to color Secretive Tilda's Hair. We'll be using Ranger Distress Inks: Antique Linen, Walnut Stain & Vintage Photo. Hope you enjoy it. If you have questions just leave me a comment and I'll try and answer it.

Here is the finished card:

Fluffy

Happy Monday everyone. Hope you all had a fabulous weekend. We had sun for a change. Loved it. I had a great class on Saturday at Memories of Time. I'm always afraid no one will show up when I agree in the middle of the week to do a class on the weekend, but not the case this time. We had a great time.

You know some time you make a card you really like. Well today is one of those days. I mean I always like the cards I make, well almost always. But today's I really like. The little squirrel is just adorable and the beautiful flowers and what not. It just looks soft and pretty. The beautiful flowers are a MFT Die-Namic Die: Upsy daisy and the branches are a Magnolia DooHickey Die: Mistletoe (not just for Christmas). The image is from Wee Stamps: Fluffy on the Lilly.

Copics Used:

  • Leaves: G94, G20
  • Squirrel: W5, W3, W1, W00
  • Cheeks/Inner Ear: R20
  • Flowers: B02, B00
  • Flower Stem: Y21

I managed to finish up my Secretive Tilda water coloring tutorial. Now to get them edited and get them to post. My husband did the last one for me, but I don't want to have him do it all the time so I downloaded Corel's Video editing software trial and am trying to figure out how to make it work. I use Paint Shop Pro to edit my photos so thought I would stay with the same company. We'll see how it goes.

Have a wonderful day. Thanks for stopping by.
