What Are You Reading?

I've been busy reading this week. I got caught up in a couple of books and the time just flew by. First there was "Sing You Home" by Jodi Picoult. I picked it up because of the author (I find an author I like and read what ever) with out reading what it was about, so it was a surprise. But I still liked it and it had a good ending.

Next there was "Night Road" by Kristin Hannah. Also very good, but sad. You see this kind of thing happening all the time. Very unfortunate. If you like either of these authors you'll love both of these wonderful books.

I read "Barefoot" by Erin Hilderbrand for The Chick-Lits Book Club. I discovered them while blog hopping and loved there book list, so thought I'd give it a try. They have a good selection of authors I've never read before. I like to try out different ones, but never know who to pick. So this will help me branch out. I loved the book and will be adding more of her stuff to my reading list.

I've picked up a couple of others on my Kindle, The Happiness Project, Wish List ( June-Book Club), The Lincoln Lawyer, Water for Elephants (I know I watched the movie, but I have to read the book now. It might be better).

What are you reading?

Oh... reading! :) I didn't do that in a while. I think the last book I read was Salman Rushdie's "The Clown" or "The White Tiger" by Aravind Adiga... yeah I didn't read anything since I came from India. I think pregnancy makes you lazy...and now I don't have time anymore.

I liked both these books though. And I must admit I also liked "The Almond" by Nedjma. A bit away from the normal books I read but I love the way she's exposing a Muslim woman's desires :).

I love Jodi Picoult too Heather! Right now I am reading "The Pillars of the Earth" by Ken Follett. It is one of those books you have been meaning to read for a while and just have never gotten around to. Long read, almost 900 pages! I'm ready for some mindless summer reading. Lol ~jeni :)
