This is my weekend project using some files by Chris Durnan. She does awesome work! I think it turned out pretty cute. I think I'll make a bigger one now though. Now that I know how to make it. I also made a couple of cards I'll share with you later.
Also I want to thank Wendy for Paying It Forward... I'll get your card and images out to you, hopefully tomorrow.
I'm going to try and make up a cutter file this weekend also, any suggestions? Heather :)
Here's one of the cards I worked on this last weekend. I got the idea over at Diane blog My Little Stampin' Spot she has a cute Christmas card and a tutorial! I only made 2 but I really like it so I think I'll make up a couple more to send out. I used: Stamps SU- Haunting Halloween (On sale this month) and Canvas (I really like those big background stamps) Ink SU- Basic Black &Lavender Lace I used misc patterned paper, snaps, photo hanger, ribbon, ticket punch, corner slot punch, circle punch and various markers to color it ( I still want to get some copic's to try).
I like how the saying pulls out for you to read. Very cute.
I saw this on Lorrietori's blog. Help me keep this going. I will send the first person to respond to this post in the comments section a card and some stamped images to use. The only catch is YOU are the one I'm Paying it Forward to, you must post this on your blog and keep it going. Cool, huh!! So hurry and be the first one!! It is super fun to receive a surprise in the mail. I love that!!
I received this wonderful card along with some cute puppy stamped images today in the mail from Florence over at Flossie's Follies . I love that it's all pink and sparkly!! I have been looking at this stamp in my TAC catalog, now I know I'm going to have to get it next time. Thank you Flossie!! I love Flossie's blog she always has such cute stuff on there. I make sure and post my puppy cards when I finish them. Now to just decided how to make them up. Heather :)
This is my latest book. Tess is one of my favorite authors. The book is about Julie who buys a new house and discovers a grave in her new yard. She has to figure out who the bones belonged to. Then along comes her neighbor Tom who is the nephew of Henry who owns the mysterious newspaper clippings....jpg)
Could be cute!
:)
This is my honey... I hardly ever get any pictures of him without his tongue out, so this one is special. He's even smiling!
This is my youngest Emily. We spent Labor day at the Zoo. She couldn't wait to get to this exhibit. I think it's the whole reason she went. It is a 4 hour drive and we left at 6:30am. But she had such a great time the last time we went and couldn't wait to go back. She was disappointed when we couldn't go the weekend before. So we couldn't let her down again. I didn't think she was going to get one to hop on her hand, but thankfully she did. As you can see she's talking to the little thing and it looks like he's listening. Very cute moment and I actually caught her on film!.jpg)
I did finish up these to cards for the challenge over at Desperate Stamper but I definitely won't be able to keep up. Sara's already on challenge #5. Card making is hard work. I have the hardest time with the idea part. I look at everybody else blogs for ideas and they all look so pretty I don't know how they come up with such great ideas.
This top one is for challenge #1 and the bottom one is for challenge #2 I know they aren't exactly like the sketch but this is the best I could do. Now I just need to find someone to send them too?
Recipe:
Stamps: CTMH - Do Nothing, Paradise SU - Sanded, Rough Texture (wheel)
Ink: SU - Buckaroo Blue, Close to Cocoa
Paper: SU - Buckaroo Blue, Marigold Morning, Cranberry Crisp, Chocolate Chip, Mellow Moss
Other: Silver Brads, Markers, Sizzix - Bookplates Oval & Traditional
I also still need to get everybody to put on there PJ's so I can take a picture of them. Getting everybody together at the same time is a challenge all by itself!!
I think I've also narrowed down my quilt choices for my friends 2 nieces. Now to just pick the fabric and start cutting them out.... Need more time!
I spent this afternoon watching the season finally of Criminal Minds Season 1, luckily season 2 comes out on DVD Oct.2nd. I hate it when they leave you hanging like that. It so sucks! But on a good note Bones and Grey's Anatomy both come out on DVD Tuesday!! Yippie. That will shorten up my play time I have to watch those as soon as I get them.
I'm heading to a birthday dinner tonight for my mom at 6. She decided she didn't need any more things to dust and we could all just get together for dinner. Fun! Maybe I'll take her a packet of those heartfelt cards I made the other day. She doesn't have to dust those.
So until later...jpg)
Mexico October 2007. We had a blast, but it was super hot for us Oregonians. These pictures were taken before 9 am. I loved laying by the pool. Something I never thought I'd like.
I'm hoping to start my friends quilts this weekend and work on a few other things to share. Maybe even go on a photo taking adventure. I really want to participate in a few card sketch challenges this weekend to, but we'll see.
Do you have any files you'd like me to try and make? Let me know.
Until later... Have a great day!
Heather

One of my favorite authors has a new book coming out Sept. 10th. I can hardly wait!! I have it on hold at the local library. It going to be hard to wait that long. I hope I'm not to far down on the list to wait. Maybe I'm one of the first ones to get it. I'm not good at waiting.
I did get a chance to make up a new packet of cards on Sunday. I'll try and take a picture tonight after work so I can share those. Well better get ready for work. Until later...
Have a great day! Heather :)
cards I had made for a contest we had at work. She won the basket of goodies! Well during my cleaning spree last weekend I just happened to come across a couple of boxes of cards I had made and not given away.. I forgot about them. There are 7 cards and a gift card all in this cute box. She really liked them!.jpg)
